July 9th, 2012, 10:21 am · · posted by BEN WENER, THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER
Epicenter, the ballyhooed hard-rock festival that began four years ago in Pomona and has relocated every year since, finally seems to have found a home: Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, where the event will take place for the second time on Sept. 22.
Stone Temple Pilots will headline, marking the band’s only area appearance this year as part of a 20th anniversary celebration of its debut, Core.
Meanwhile, Deftones, Scars on Broadway (the System of a Down spinoff featuring guitarist Daron Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan) and Hollywood Undead will all play their first major Southern California sets of 2012 at the bash.
Also on tap will be Bush (fresh from its outing with Nickelback), Chevelle, Escape the Fate, Dead Sara, Epicenter favorite Crash Kings, Beware of Darkness and Hyro Da Hero.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 14, at 10 a.m. Prices and any pre-sale details aren’t available yet. Check this post for updates or keep tabs on the Live Nation purchase page for updated info.
