Local music fans turned out for travel network Gogobot’s Orange County launch party at Memphis at the Santora on Wednesday night which happened to coincide with Dave Mau‘s twice-a-month Dinner with Dave event at the downtown Santa Ana eatery.

Along with the free grub, courtesy of Mau, Gogobot gave out swag and hosted a photo booth for those in attendance. Local folk duo the Ultimate Bearhug preformed a short-but-sweet set as well though it was tough to hear some of the softer tracks over the casual bar chatter.

Vocalist Doll Knight sang beautifully through tracks off of Bearhug’s latest release, Just South of Los Angeles, as guitarist Barrett Johnson played and sang along and the album’s producer, Dallas Kruse, played keys and accordion.

“Paper Plane” is an absolute treat as Knight coos effortlessly and in “Foolish Things” she assertively slips in a well-placed expletive that definitely caught this crowd’s attention.
