
Music News: GrooveFest takes over the Queen Mary in Long Beach

The sweet sounds of funk, Latin and soul will take over the Seawalk just outside of the Queen Mary in Long Beach on Saturday, May 26.
Several local DJs and artists including OO Soul, Breakestra, 2012 OC Music Awards best Latin winners Boogaloo Assassins (pictured above) and the Original Stone City Band are on deck to perform. There will be specialty food vendors and food trucks onsite and beer and cocktails will be served in vendor tents as well.
Festivities begin at 5 p.m. Admission is $25 in advance and $35 at the door. VIP tickets are available for $85 in advance and $100 at the door and include private event entrance, a meet and greet opportunity with the artists, five drink tickets, an event poster, a return ticket to the Queen Mary good through Jan. 31, 2012 and complimentary event parking. Guests must be 21 or older to purchase VIP tickets. General admission tickets are available to all-ages.
