The new Vans Warped Tour movie, No Room for Rockstars, is available exclusively today on iTunes. The film is directed by Parris Patton (Amazing Journey: The Store of the WHO) and produced by Stacy Peralta, Agi Orsi and the team that brought you Dogtown & Z-Boys. The Vans Warped Tour, with 43 tour dates, 200 bands, and 60,000 fans, has been a stepping-stone for aspiring musicians and punk rock veterans since 1995. No Room for Rockstars explores every angle of the festival, including the kids playing parking lots hoping to be discovered, to the veteran stage manager whose life was saved by the tour, to the bands who’ve reached mainstream success while on the road.
With more than 300 hours of footage during the 2010 Vans Warped Tour, the film features musical acts Suicide Silence, Never Shout Never, Mike Posner, and Forever Came Calling and music from Warped favorites Pennywise, Bouncing Souls, and Sum 41. No Room for Rockstars embodies the spirit of youth culture, offers insight into the current state of rock and roll, and gives us a taste of this ageless summer event that has been essential for the music festival goer for the last 17 years.
