Irvine-based DigitalSound Production Studios (DPS) kicked off 2012 with an exclusive in-studio performance by Orange County blues/folk artist Micah Brown on Jan. 5 on a custom designed stage at DPS’ HQ warehouse.

Brown is the 2011 OC Music Awards best live acoustic winner and is also nominated in the best folk category for the 2012 ceremony. Brown has performed with artists such as Ben Harper, Weezer, G. Love, Ziggy Marley and more.

DPS’ next backstage experience will be filmed with indie rock outfit Echo Echo on Feb. 9. Those wishing to attend the intimate taping can email rsvp@theaceagency.com.

Micah Brown performs next at the Observatory in Santa Ana with Seedless, Simpkin Project and HB Surround Sound at 8 p.m. Feb. 3. $10.
