The 2012 OC Music Awards showcase series kicked off Tuesday night at Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa with local band Jeremiah Red, which was nominated for six OC Music Awards yesterday. Other artists, including Paulie Pesh, the Gromble, Strange Birds and James Fletcher, also performed.
The showcases are happening every Tuesday night in different local venues through Feb. 14, with the two final showcases happening Feb. 24 and 25 at yet-to-be announced locations. For a complete listing of showcases, go to ocmusicawards.com.
Catch the next showcase at the District Tustin Legacy (2437 Park Ave., Tustin) where Nicole Vaughn, Erick Macek, Allensworth, Moonsville Collective and Headshine will compete for best live acoustic at 7 p.m. Jan. 10.
